Innovative Illumination at Glow Eindhoven

Colorful lights, artistic design, story-telling, fire.  Each light art project at Glow Eindhoven offers a unique display of creativity and imagination.  From recycled bottles illuminated with color to powerful fiery whirlwinds, this annual festival of light in art and architecture utilizes cityscapes and parks in a 3km- to 4km-long route through the city of Eindhoven (Netherlands).  Some light projects play games, some invoke thoughtful contemplation.  Most are expressly beautiful.

Kroonlichters by CultuurStation (Glow 2015)

In its 11th annual installment, Glow Eindhoven 2016 features a total of 29 projects divided over two routes.  The City Route winds through downtown and includes an eerie light projection show on the front of Catharina Church.  The Science Route weaves through Eindhoven University of Technology campus grounds showcasing mostly student projects. Each route takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, providing a fun and cultural experience for the whole family.

Il Giardino Incantato by Luminarie De Cagna (Glow 2015)

Proud home to the Philips Company, which has been manufacturing lightbulbs for over a century, Eindhoven is a city of innovation and ingenuity.  The annual light festival attracts artists from all over the world to showcase both technical and enchanting exhibitions.  In a season of dreary cold, Glow Eindhoven will spark your imagination and illuminate your senses.
